Fifteen moorings, a dinghy crane, graves along every road, and a customs officer who stamped passports on the roof of his car.
Two people, two pugs, one catamaran — sailing to 70 countries.
We left Los Angeles on 3 December 2025. In April we spent 28 days crossing the Pacific — eleven of them in 12-foot seas. Mr. Pickles and Colonel Mustard became the first pugs ever to cross the Pacific on a private yacht. Next stop: Fiji.

The crew
Meet Steve and Meghan
Captain Steve and First Mate Meg left Manhattan Beach, California, on December 3rd, 2025, for a five-year circumnavigation. Steve grew up on the Chesapeake, raced Newport to Ensenada, and spent 30 years in fintech before switching to fashion. Meghan built Meghan Fabulous into a multi-brand fashion house over 25 years — then closed it to sail full-time. They brought two pugs. Obviously.

The name
The Some Tuesday Story
The name started as a joke. Steve Sr.’s father answered every request with “Oh, some Tuesday, I suppose.” Steve Sr. bought a boat in 2000 and named it Some Tuesday. In 2018, Steve Jr.’s 14-year-old son Hank suggested the same name for the new catamaran. Three generations, one family saying.

The pugs
Mr. Pickles and Colonel Mustard
They were supposed to be dinner. Korean Pug Rescue pulled them out of South Korea, and they went on to become Meghan’s office mascots, her constant shadows and — as she tells it — the ones who rescued her. Mr. Pickles is 17, wise and well-behaved; Colonel Mustard is 14, naughty and just happy to be part of the team. Now they’re the first pugs ever to sail a private vessel across the equator, with over fifteen thousand nautical miles under their paws by Fiji. They shed. They’ve survived a few scares. They’re living their best lives.
