Ballast Point Brewery
A 45 minute sail from the Shoreline Village Marina, Ballast Point Brewery is a fantastic spot to tie up and a grab a bite to eat and a beer right on the water. There's a public dock right outside where you can tie up on a first come first serve basis. With several other cool spots to eat nearby, Ballast point is one of Steve's favorite local hangouts.
Newport Beach
Newport is a totally awesome place to sail down to and anchor for a weekend. There's free anchoring off the point of Lido Isle right in the heart of Newport. From there, it's an easy dinghy ride to pretty much anywhere in Newport Harbor.
Avalon - Catalina Island
Avalon has everything you want in a weekend island getaway. Restaurants, bars, shops, and activities like zip lining, mini golf. With all fun you could want and natural beauty to admire, Avalon is a favorite of tourists and locals alike.
Two Harbors - Catalina Island
Two Harbors is the mellow to Avalon's buzz. If you want to get away from the business and tourism in Avalon, head on over to Two Harbors where you'll find one bar, one store, and whole lot of chilling. Two Harbors is also right at an isthmus on the island where you can walk from the east to the west coast of the island in just a few minutes.
