Who is Captain Steve?

Steve’s connection to the ocean is practically spiritual, sparked by childhood summers on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. As a Pisces, he’s always been drawn to the sea’s freedom. His girlfriend, Meghan Fabulous—a uniquely talented fashion designer with an audacious flair—is a fellow Pisces and shares his zest for adventure and love of the ocean. Together, they’ve moved out of the Manhattan Beach home, scaled back their life and business, and are setting sail as nomads aboard Some Tuesday, a stunning 2017 Lagoon 450S catamaran. This 45-foot beauty, with three cabins, three heads, a spacious galley, and 1,400 sq ft of sail, is ready to conquer oceans. Join them as they embark on a five-year quest to circumnavigate the globe, from Los Angeles to Latin America, the South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean, and Caribbean, hitting 105 ports across 70 countries!

Steve’s love for water began early, from earning a canoeing merit badge in the ‘70s to waterskiing in the ‘90s. A sailing trip with friend Joe Stensland ignited a lifelong passion, but life kept him landlocked for over 20 years. After moving to California in 2013, he dove into sailing lessons, raced boats, and soaked up every moment on the water, culminating in the 2018 delivery of Some Tuesday.  A proud father, Steve beams when talking about his sons: Hank, who lives in Dallas and plays a key role in their Meghan Fabulous fashion business, and Carter, who’s chasing his dream in Los Angeles to become an auto mechanic and content creator. Their drive and ambition fuel Steve’s own adventurous spirit.

When Steve met Meghan in 2018, their shared passion for living life full-out sparked an instant bond. Meghan, with her exuberant style, took to sailing with gusto, metamorphosizing into First Mate Meg. They dreamed of sailing the world, and a chance encounter at Catalina Island’s Buccaneer Days sealed it. A fellow sailor advised, “Set a date and make it happen, or you’ll still be dreaming in a decade.” They chose September 2025, later shifting to October for boat upgrades, ensuring Some Tuesday is ready for the adventure.Steve’s mastering heavy-weather sailing and navigation to tackle rough seas, while Meghan, ever lively, is perfecting provisioning and meal planning to keep them fueled. Her design expertise shines as she transforms Some Tuesday into a functional, radiant home. Their journey embraces a simpler, nature-connected, freer life, guided by their Christian faith.

Life at sea promises to be exhilarating and unpredictable. Steve and Meghan invite you to follow their daring adventure on social media, sharing the thrills and wonders of their global voyage.
